Pregnancy And Diet: How Much Should You Eat

September 1st, 2007 by admin

During pregnancy, proper diet is important for both the baby and the mother. A healthy diet can improve the physical and mental health of the baby and the mother.

You need to eat right. Make sure you have enough calories. Too much of calories can cause you to gain weight. The only weight you should gain is for the benefit of your child’s growth.

There are several factors can determine the volume of food you should take.

  • Your activity level throughout the day.
  • The intensity of your exercise.
  • Your weight before you are pregnant
  • The stage of trimester you are in
  • The number of child you are expecting (If you have twins, you tend to eat more)

You should not take a risk on your child’s health. Your food intake is crucial to provide sufficient nutrition to your baby. With a good diet, you can enjoy your pregnancy without stress. In addition, when the baby is born, your child will have a head start in growing up to be a healthy child.
