It also minimizes the incidence of your child to experience low birth weight, poor immune system, and birth defects. The following tips should serve as a reminder when you plan your pregnancy diet. Don’t make the same mistakes.
- Apart from knowing what you should eat, you should receive enough folic acid and calcium. During your pregnancy, you must know which food can cause problems. If you want a successful term, make a list of food that are detrimental to your maternity.
- Don’t eat certain fish. Some fish such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish contains high levels of mercury, which can upset your pregnancy.
- Avoid drinking alcohol because your baby can encounter underweight problems and brain impairment.
- Avoid drinking caffeine-based beverages.
- Never eat under cooked or raw foods such as sushi and raw eggs. Vegetables are the exception. If you happen to fall sick, you are likely to have fever, vomiting, and, diarrhea which can affect the fetus. Usually when you are expecting a child, you are vulnerable to diseases that under cooked or raw foods carry.
- Some foods carry food borne illnesses. You should avoid them as much as possible.
You should never take a chance on your baby’s health. Following a nutritious diet program provide the extra nutrition and calories needed by your body and your child. A healthy diet may not guarantee you a healthy pregnancy and baby. However, a poor diet is definitely going to put your through unnecessary health problems that you don’t want your child to have.
