Get Pregnant By Finding Out Your Most Fertile Period In 3 Ways

Every woman has a fertile period of two days in the middle of her monthly menstrual cycle. The fertile period begins when the woman ovulates and ends about two days later. The chances of getting pregnant is high if you have sex during this fertile period or up to two days before it. So, if you want to get pregnant, you need to find out when you’re most fertile.

Ovulation Calendar

One way to do it is to watch your ovulation on the calendar. Mark on the calendar when your period starts and ends every month. If you have a consistent 28-day cycle, this means that you’re going to ovulate every 14 days after the day your last period began.

If you have long cycles, take away 18 from the number of days in your shortest cycle. When you have your next period, count ahead this many days. You can assume the following week as your most fertile days.

There are problems with this method. Causes such as sickness, stress, and exercise may affect the timing of ovulation, making the calculation to be inaccurate. If you experience irregular cycles, then your counting days is not accurate.

Cervical Mucus

Another way to find out when you can get pregnant is to look for changes in cervical mucus. Just before ovulation, your vagina will produce extra volume of clear, slippery secretions which look like raw egg whites. This is a sign of fertility. After ovulation, you will have less chances of getting pregnant once the secretion turns cloudy and sticky or disappear.

Not many women want to examine their vagina for the secretions all the times. Fertility based on the your judgment of vaginal secretions may not be accurate.

Basal Body Temperature

Getting pregnant by recording your basal body temperature is another method. When your ovulation begins, your body temperature will rise in the range of 0.5 and 1.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Usually you should be able to conceive 2 or 3 days before the temperature increases. If the increased temperature remains the same for more than 3 days, then you can say that you are ovulating.

You can use an oral or a digital thermometer to record your basal body temperature. Record your temperature every morning before you get out of bed. Plot the readings on graph paper and look for any rising spike.

You may not notice small changes in the temperature which show the ovulation already started. Taking temperature every day at the same time may not be convenient for you if you don’t sleep and wake up at the same time.

Most healthy couples get pregnant within one year if they have frequent unprotected sex. However, if you can’t get pregnant, then you need help. This happens if you’re age 35 or older, your periods are more than 35 days apart, or either one of you is suffering from fertility issues.

Why do some women can get pregnant so easily? Discover the secrets of getting pregnant fast even you've failed to conceive in the past!
